Yes, it can be a confidence building thing.
I don’t know if it’s a confidence thing, but I thought God was dealing with her. I treaded lightly as I knew I could do more harm than good if I tried too hard. Every once in a while I’d say something. But I didn’t push things on her.

God bless you guys as you read the Scriptures and pray together: this is so pivotal for us in my home. :)

@GodsGrace Hi; good to see you again; FYI, did you see this poll? :)
Hi F...
I don't think I've seen this poll. Been away for quite some time.
I think the best age for a tattoo is between 26 and 40.
Why?
Because sometimes young kids make decisions they regret later?
yeah. I think that's why.
I don't think tattoos could be removed.
This is a big reason why I won't get one.
There are two I'd like,,,but I REALLY don't think it's going to happen.

Plus, what do you think? Maybe we're getting used to being "marked up" for when the beast comes along??!

@GodsGrace Thanks for your comment!

I would understand the coming of the Lord for His church in the air (1 Thess. 4) to be the next event for the church, before other events on the earth.

But as regards tattoos, certainly it has become a rite of passage at around 18. But I take your point about possible regrets; this is why I think it is probably sensible for parents of teens to start talking about the need for good tattoo planning before the age of 18, if they are likely to go for it at 18.

(Did you vote in the poll, BTW? :) )

Not to derail your thread but...

Have you noticed that parents will tell a child under 10 they’re not mature enough to have a boyfriend/girlfriend, too young to get a tattoo, too young to go to the bathroom in public by themselves, but they are mature and old enough to make a decision that their gender is not what they are? What I mean, if a boy comes to it’s parents and say he’s a girl, or a girl says she’s a boy, they’re mature enough to know this? o_O Talk about stupidity. But, when babies are being sacrificed via the spirit of Manasseh, everything goes these days. :(

My sister is allergic to penicillin and a couple other meds. She wrote them out and had them tatted on her formarm. Pencillin looked real funny. She misspelled it and the tattoo artist didn’t catch it.
Oh well, you do have to make sure about typos, if the tattoo is with words, yes! My wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; imagine if neither she nor the artist had missed a typo...! But it seemed fine. It was her favorite Bible verse and mine also.

With your sister and wife seemingly receiving tattoos with confidence (and with 55%-70% or more of parlor clients in North America apparently being female), hard to believe that decades back it was overwhelmingly a man thing to do; whereas now it's also a thoroughly womanly thing to do.

That's a whole new discussion but I agree with you.
