With the election turmoil and people fighting against one another over who has won, the above verse should put into perspective where we as Believers have our hope. It is not in the Kings and kingdoms of this world, but in the King of Kings and His Kingdom to come. All the tyrant Kings of this world will be removed as Christ will reign with Justice (a Rod of Iron), and Mercy.
The time of the Gospel of the kingdom as outlined in the sermon on the mount is now upon us. The King is coming, But before this time the god of this world (Satan) will have his wrath, and make war on the saints and appear to overcome them, But By the Patience of Christ we shall overcome.
Take heart, Be strong in the faith of Jesus, set your sights above the turmoil of this world and you will find the peace that surpasses understanding in the times we are living in. Global government will not work, as it is like iron mixed with clay, and Christ Jesus will destroy the lawless one with the breath of His mouth and the brightness of His coming.
