Yes, you will have carnal moments.
We have a mind, we live in a body, we are surrounded by sensuality and worse.
However, You can't walk around with your eyes closed..

So don't confuse a feeling of guilt, with the HS.
Many do this...

When you have a MENTAL moment that isn't the clean and the pure, then get out of that mind. Send it away from your thoughts.
YOU control that..
Thats all you have to do.
You dont have to repent, because once you start there, you will dwell on that mental situation and it will become your mind.
What happens is that the more you try to deal with your own sin, the more this causes you to be sin conscious, which then drives the flesh and makes the problem more profound in your flesh.
So, instead of dwelling on what it was that you did, or thought, just get out of that mind., as that mind is the Flesh.

Something to realize and something to remember....
Every sin you commit...(work of the flesh), is instantly IN THE PAST. And the blood of Jesus is always coming forward from the Cross endlessly redeeming you and keeping you clean. So, every sin (work of the flesh) you commit, is instantly in the PAST and the CLEANSING BLOOD of Christ is always in the NOW, going into the FUTURE< always keeping you redeemed.

You dont have to confess or repent or feel guilty., as all that keeps you in that carnal mind., and that mind is flesh, or it would not have been dwelling on that which you now feel bad about.

Trying to resist sin in you own power causes you to sin more.
Dwelling on how bad you feel about it, causes you to think about it more, which allows the Law to cause your flesh to be more involved and more involved. That is the TRAP that is found when you are repenting and confessing, to try to clear yourself and make yourself "right" again.. with God.
Understand, that you are always right with God, and when you have a carnal moment, or do a carnal work of the flesh,....dont then lose your mind INTO the dwelling guilty place, as that place will keep you doing it and feeling condemned which keeps you doing it .
The idea is to not exit in that mind of the flesh, as if you do, the dominion of the law will actually inflame your lust.
You have to stay out from UNDER all that, which is to live in the place of Grace.

"The power of SIN.....is the LAW"... Its not your flesh.
So, when you try to will yourself to do better, or will yourself to stop doing some sin, you are actually empowering the Law to cause you to want to do it more..

You will never stop sinning by trying to stop sinning.....that is the "curse of the Law"...that rules.
So, you have to see this verse....."Jesus has redeemed you from the CURSE of the Law"..
And this verse.... "You are not under the Law, you are under GRACE"..

And this verse...>"Sin shall not have dominion over you"...

And this verse..>>"The power of SIN, is the LAW"..

So, get away from all the striving to be better, and do better, as that is what gives the Law power over you to cause you to want to sin more and more.

What you do, is learn to live in the place of God's GRACE.
You learn to see yourself as God sees you..."RIGHTEOUS"....and you learn to BELIEVE THIS, instead of thinking of yourself as a "saved sinner".

LIVE HERE : = Hebrews 13:9

When you LEARN to only see yourself as God sees you, you will REST from fighting sin, and you will find that its by RESTING IN GOD, .. In God's GRACE, that you find your spiritual power that is your VICTORY OVER SIN.

You have to get there.
Start today.

Refocus your mind on life with Jesus.

Amen!

"renew your MIND".

"God will keep you in perfect PEACE if you keep your mind on Christ".

Pay attention to what your mind is doing.....control it from staying in a carnal area.

It not a sin to have a flash of some carnal thought go across the screen of your mind.
but, when you sit there and view the MOVIE......
Dont let the movie continue......act immediately to get that out of your head.

Over time, as you learn this discipline, your mind will rarely have these situations..... and you'll be amazed that your mind can be so clean.

This is what a believer needs to practice, vs, repenting and confession that does nothing but resolve a guilty conscious for a little while.

Dont work the problem, SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

The issue is "sin consciousness".....so, when you are sin conscious, your mind is focused on that, and you will do it.
So, you have to learn to believe that you are always at peace with God, always righteous, always .. = which is the TRUTH.
And you learn to live in this GRACE of GOD.....which then allows you to REST from the striving to be good.. And you'll find that your resting in God's Grace, is the Power you are looking for, that will keep you living the perfected discipleship that reflects your Holy Standing as a redeemed Child of God.

Joyce Meyers wrote a book called Battlefield of the Mind...and it is something we need to learn to control for sure.....I have to tell my mind many times that it is not lining up with His Word...Get in Line!!! LOL...

The issue is "sin consciousness".....so, when you are sin conscious, your mind is focused on that, and you will do it.

This is what I've learned also.

It's the two trees. Either we live according to the knowledge of good and evil, or we live according to eternal life, and these are different.

Sin consciousness takes the mind away from God, whether it be fear of committing such and such a sin, or of having committed such and such a sin. And, not that only, but even when committing such and such a sin.

One thing, and one thing only will give us victory over our sin, and that is trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ, accomplished on the cross.

Much love!

"God will keep you in perfect PEACE if you keep your mind on Christ".
This is a great tell. Once peace starts to slip away for whatever reason, we can be sure that our faith is waning, our minds turning to other things.

When we trust Jesus to actually care for all our needs in every way, we are at complete peace and rest. And those needs include to make an end of those sins I've not been able to eradicate yet.

Can we trust Jesus even concerning the sins we still commit?

Our peace leaves when we sin if we don't trust that the cross was enough. But when we do trust in what Jesus did, that His death, and His death alone is what makes me acceptable to God, then we don't feel rejected if we fail. We can still know we are loved, feel loved, even when we are not lovely. Because it's not about me and what I do, it's about what Jesus did.

Much love!

Romans 7:5 and Romans 7:8 speak profoundly on these issues.

Rom 7:5, For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Rom 7:8, But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

God condemns sin.....do we also now get rid of God?

God did indeed die in order that the enmity might be slain (Ephesians 2:15-16).

However, He is also risen from the dead; and in this He gives us the victory so that we are obedient and therefore do not as much any more need the provision that slew the enmity.

In Hebrews 10 it teaches us that before the one time sacrifice for the sin of the world was delivered by God as Christ on the Cross, .. one of the issues with the OT animal sacrifices is that they could not clear the mind of Sin Consciousness.
So, ""Christ, having obtained eternal redemption for us""", has THRU HIS Blood Atonement..... given us freedom from the consciousness of sin that produces the flesh and also the guilt.
Most believers are not walking in this freedom that is found in the Grace of God, because they are instead trying to, by self effort.... KEEP what is already Kept by God.
Listen, if you are in a church that is telling you that you will always be repenting, and always struggling to live holy, then you are being deceived, and because you are living according to this deception you see that you are in a lifestyle of sinning, and confessing and repenting.
You have to get OUT of that situation.
Listen, what matters is not your church membership or how people feel about you.. Your responsibility is to GOD and your life is to live according to TRUTH, so that your lifestyle will truly reflect what The Grace of God has accomplished for you.
So, if you are in the mind that believes that you can lose your salvation, then you are walking in the mind of the flesh that is trying to be good so that you don't lose your salvation, VS living it the peace and comfort that is to TRUST that God will never let you go.
Most of you have not considered that your doing or not doing, never saved you, so how can your doing or not doing, cause you to love your salvation?
Its GOD who has saved you, and its GOD Himself whow will keep you.......saved.
So, until you stop trying to keep yourself saved, after you are ALREADY SAVED, you will keep sinning and never find the rest in the Grace of God, that allows you the power of Christ to live holy, Reader.

The law is given in the OT< to show you how unholy you are and needing this to be resolved.
God came, died on a Cross, to resolve this issue for you, by giving you "the gift of Righteousness".
God making you "the righteousness of God in Christ" is the Grace of God.... "The Gift of Salvation".

Of course, the scripture does say the following (I am attempting to draw out a response here):

Rom 11:19, Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
Rom 11:20, Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
Rom 11:21, For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Rom 11:22, Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

The Goodness of God is the Blood Atonement.
All the born again, will always continue in this goodness, as this is the result of being born again.
There are those who "believe" who will in time of temptation fall away (Luke 8:13).

Such will not continue to be saved.

These were those whose faith was nominal, lukewarm, and shallow.

Whereas if anyone has a faith that is unto righteousness (Romans 10:10) and enduring to the end (Hebrews 3:6, Hebrews 3:14) that this is a John 6:47 faith rather than a Luke 8:13 faith. It is unto everlasting life; life that will have no end.

For those who have the latter kind of faith (a John 6:47 faith) are sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13-4); He is the earnest of their inheritance (2 Corinthians 1:21, 2 Corinthians 5:5) until the day of redemption.

The false gospel...... Galatians 1:8. or as found in Jude 1. Is the gospel of self effort.
So, any gospel that says that you have to do something to be saved and stay saved, rejects the Gospel of Grace.
This is how you define the false gospel as its taught by many in the "time of the Gentiles'.

See 1 John 3:7.

And, 1 John 3:17-18.

Of course, these passages do not promote self-effort unto salvation; but they do promote the idea that we do good works as the result of salvation.

We are also told to abide in Christ and that this abiding constitutes salvation.

Abiding has to do with living in the state of being a new creature in Christ (see 1 John 3:6, 1 John 2:17)...even walking in His goodness.

It becomes clear that it is possible to even abide for ever; and in Romans 11:20-22 it also becomes clear that to cease to abide would be to enter into the danger of being cut off from the olive tree that represents salvation.
