The Bible puts the Battle of Armageddon before the New Jerusalem comes down as Revelation is clear that is when the wicked meet their end in the Lake of Fire. So this can only be at the Second Coming, and you can see it is when the Seven Last Plagues fall from the description in Revelation, and they will come one after another which I think corresponds to the one hour (2 weeks prophetic time) the nations get with the Beast.

Revelation 17:12
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

Revelation 18:10
Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

Revelation 18:17
For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

Revelation 18:19
And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

Revelation 16:1-21
1 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.
2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.
3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea.
4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood.
5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.
9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.
12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.
18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.
19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.
20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Here is a good description..
"Armageddon Meaning
The actual word for “Armageddon” only appears once in the Bible (Revelation 16:16). Even though most of the New Testament is written in Greek, this comes from the Hebrew word which means, “Mount Megiddo", which may be the same with Har-megiddo; for the Hebrew word (rh) is read "Ar" by the Greeks; so the city Argarize is interpreted the mountain of the most High.

What Is the Battle of Armageddon?

Revelation 16:16 - ""Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon." - describes what happens after God pours out the sixth bowl of wrath (one of the many plagues that permeates the Revelation narrative).

In this verse, John, the author of Revelation, writes about the gathering of earthly rulers and armies to a place called Armageddon. The word "Armageddon" is derived from the Hebrew "Har-Megiddo," and it is generally understood to be a symbolic location for a final, climactic battle.

The Battle of Armageddon is described in more detail in Revelation 19:11-21 (NIV), where it portrays a dramatic confrontation between the forces of good, led by Jesus Christ (the rider on a white horse), and the forces of evil, symbolically represented by the beast and the false prophet. The antichrist gathers “kings” in a placed called Armageddon. These kings, loyal to the antichrist, will gather their armies to wage war against the people of God. This battle results in the defeat of the enemies of God and the ultimate triumph of righteousness.

We see hints of this war in Revelation 16:14 and in Revelation 20:7-9, where Satan gathers enemies from the four corners of the earth (in essence, everywhere). They’ll surround the camp of the Christians, but fire from heaven will consume them."

Ah! @Hobie, it seems to me that you have grasped at strays to come to your understanding of when the kings of the earth are Gathered at Armageddon.

If we consider the Seventh Bowl judgement, it describes the first and second world wars and the witnesses for this understanding is found in seventh Bowl Judgement itself.

Babylon was remembered once more in 1926 by France and Britian when they divided up the Otterman empire between them and established Iraq as the nation that would have dominion over the land of Babylon.

Jerusalem was divided into three partitions in 1948 with Jordan Britian and the UN having derestriction over Jerusalem.

The description of people hiding in underground bomb bunkers is also pertinent and another witness to confirm that it is possible to place when the Seventh Bowl Judgement takes place.

The same is also true for the Sixth Bowl judgement in that we can place its unfolding to our present time during this century. We can identify the three frog like spirits that performed signs and wonders for all of the earth to see via the continual reporting of the 9/11 events that took place. We can also see that in our near future, probably within the next 20 years, that the king of the earth will be gathered at Armageddon. It is my belief that Rev 19:11-16 is describing the events at Armageddon in our near future which is also described in Isaiah 24:21-22

The Rev 20:7-10, Rev 19:17-21 and Ezekiel 38-39 describes the battle linked with the nations of Gog and Magod.

Now, if you disagree with the above understanding I look forward to your rebuttal, where you can present your arguments to prove me wrong.

Shalom

The battle is between God and the nations of the earth, so it has nothing to do with the first or second or 1948 or 9/11, as it is at the Second Coming that we see this great battle. Satan attempts to unite all nations at war against God so it will be everything they have against Him but they will fail and Christ will then take His saints to heaven and leave the wicked slain. Its that simple..

No, we have the Second Coming, then the 1000 years with the saints in heaven. So the timeline is
1. Where We Are Today: - We are in the year 2023, and you can see the image of the Beast rising with the New World Order, and you can see its power being realized.

2. The Three Angel's Messages Proclaimed to the World: - Before anyone chooses for or against the mark of the beast, God, through His remnant church on earth will send a final message to the world. This message contained in the three angel's messages of Revelation 14 is God's last call of mercy to the world.

Revelation 14:6-12 ...'And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

... And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

... And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.'

3. The Final Choice for the Seal or Mark: - In this end times timeline of final events, this is the most important for every man, woman and child on earth. We will all at this time have to make one final choice. A choice to take the side of Christ Jesus and receive the seal of God (Revelation 7:1-3; 14:1) or, under ecomonic pressure and fear of persecution from the world, take the mark of the beast (Revelation 13:16).

4. Probation Closed: - Once everyone have made their decision for the mark of the beast or the seal of God, then the door of mercy will close and everyone will be judged either righteous or filthy ... Revelation 22:11 ...'He that is unjust, let him be unjust still, and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still, and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still, and he that is holy, let him be holy still.' ...
Who will receive your allegiance? The beast system (Papacy), or our Heavenly Father?

5. A Time of Trouble for the World: - This time of trouble, the great tribulation is prophesied in Daniel 12:1 ... 'And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people, and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time, and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.' ...

6. The Seven Last Plagues: - Now that everyone has decided to side with Jesus or the beast, God's final judgments can begin to fall upon this world, in the form of the seven last plagues. These plagues will be the "wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture." as mentioned in Revelation 14:10.

7. The Battle of Armageddon: - This is the final world battle will happen when Jesus Christ returns as "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS" to defeat Satan and his hosts and to deliver the saints.

8. The Second Coming of Christ Jesus: - This is THE END TIME EVENT that all the saints will be watching and waiting for. The second coming of Christ will be a glorious, visible, fiery event that will make all other end time events look ordinary! Accompanied by billions of mighty angels, Jesus will return in great glory to deliver His people. There will be no rapture like so many believe, as the Bible clearly states that EVERY EYE will see Jesus return, and that His second coming will be a noisy, fiery event (Matthew 24:27; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; Matthew 24:30-31; Revelation 1:7; 2 Peter 3:10).

9. The Resurrection of the Saints and the 144,000 living Saints: - When Jesus Christ returns at the second coming, the graves will burst open and the righteous will rise up with immortal bodies. And together with the saints who have gone through the great tribulation and are still alive, will meet Jesus in the air ... 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ...' For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.' ... The rest of the dead (lost) will not live again until the 1000 years are over ... Revelation 20:5 ...'But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.'

10. The 1000 Year Millennium: - After Christ has returned at the second coming and resurrects the saints, He takes us home to the Heavenly Kingdom and the New Jerusalem, and there we dwell for 1000 years, while Satan is bound to this desolate earth with no one to tempt, as all the wicked were killed at the second coming. Contrary to popular belief, we DO NOT spend the 1000 years on earth.

11. The Wicked Destroyed: - After the 1000 years in Heaven, we return to this earth in the New Jerusalem (Rev. 21:2). The wicked are resurrected and Satan gathers them together to fight and take the New Jerusalem ... Revelation 20:9-10 ...'And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.' ... So the wicked are thrown into the lake of fire, where they are consumed and cease to exist, again contrary to popular belief. Even Satan himself is finally destroyed and will cease to exist.

12. New Jerusalem coming down from heaven: - The saints come down with Christ in the New Jerusalem.
Revelation 21:1-3 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. ...

Thanks brother. I would take issue with a few of the points, but this is very minor compared with the value of your timeline. I appreciate it!

Lets go over what Revelation 16 shows us..

Revelation 16:12-21

We see verse 12 where the sixth angel pours out his vial which begins the clash between Satan and the powers at his service and God. Then in verse 13 we see the "three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet" which is Satan, the apostate church, and apostate leader. And they are described in verse 14 "they are the spirits of devils, working miracles," and notice what it says "which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty", so we see it is Armageddon. And verse 16 confirms this, "And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."

Then you see the end with the angel pouring out the seventh vial with God declaring "It is done" and the earth being shaken to its core at the Second Coming. Which Daniel 7 also spoke about...
Daniel 12:1
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. ...

Here is a good site to check the sequence of events and biblical timeline....The Biblical Timeline

It seems that you have accepted the musing of someone else. I for one would not recommend the site linked to in your quoted post.

The timeline looks pretty with all of its pictures/painting but as for its accuracy, it leaves a lot to be desired.

I cant vouch for the site as it leaves a lot to be desired as you say, but the timeline is pretty solid. Maybe we can with Gods help make it clearer...

We see hints of this war in Revelation 16:14 and in Revelation 20:7-9, where Satan gathers enemies from the four corners of the earth (in essence, everywhere). They’ll surround the camp of the Christians, but fire from heaven will consume them."

Armageddon is not found in Rev 20. Armageddon happens at the second coming and is a place where the armies of the beast meet the army of Christ from heaven. The armies are led by satan, the beast and false prophet. The beast's army is slain by Christ with a symbolic sword. This is before the thousand years.

In Rev 20 satan (not the beast or the beast's army) goes and raises a fresh army and takes them not to Armageddon (a valley 66 miles from Jerusalem) but takes them to Jerusalem and they do not meet Christ or his army or any army at all. This army is led by satan alone because the beast and false prophet were cast into the LOF long ago at the battle of Armageddon. They are killed by God the Father who rains fire down upon them. This happens after the thousand years.

The above assumption that the beast and the false prophet are involved in the Armageddon gathering of the Kings of the earth is misleading.

In Rev 7:1-12, we are told of five beasts the four winds of heaven and the little horn. Then in the book of Revelation with the beast rises up out of the Bottomless pit, the four winds of heaven have joined together to become one beast, and the little horn of the Book of Daniel becomes the false prophet.

The Armageddon gathering of the Kings of the earth will occur in around 20 years' time and as Isiaih 20:21-22 tells us that the kings of the earth will be judged at this time and then imprisoned in a pit for many days to await the time of their punishment.

There is presently much confusion in the body of Christ as to what is going to unfold in our near and distant future.

Much meditation is required to put the Prophetic events of the End Times into chronological order the reflects what is recorded in the Scriptures.

My advice is that we concentrate on the tasks that God wants to be performed at this present time and let the future events take care of themselves.

Shalom

The above assumption that the beast and the false prophet are involved in the Armageddon gathering of the Kings of the earth is misleading.

No it isn't. It's straight from the bible. Any denial of this is misleading.

Rev 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
Rev 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Rev 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
Rev 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

In Rev 7:1-12, we are told of five beasts the four winds of heaven and the little horn.

No, we are not. The little horn is not in Rev at all. That comes from Daniel.

Then in the book of Revelation with the beast rises up out of the Bottomless pit, the four winds of heaven have joined together to become one beast, and the little horn of the Book of Daniel becomes the false prophet.

Nope. The little horn plucks up 3 horns but the FP does not do this at all nor are 3 of the 10 horns ever removed. John's ten horned beast always has the full ten horns unlike Daniel's ten horned beast which has 3 of the horns removed.

Well, this is true., because it is scripture, but the context of what is written is very different from what you have posted.

No, we are not. The little horn is not in Rev at all. That comes from Daniel.

In Daniel we are told that the Little Horn, is the one responsible for the scattering of the Israelites to the four corners of the earth in Daniel 9:26b, and this same entity is the one who makes a solemn covenant with many, after the conclusion of the war in heaven, in our distant future. Now in the Book of Revelation the Little Horn of Daniel is called the False Prophet, but they are one and the same entity.

Nope. The little horn plucks up 3 horns but the FP does not do this at all nor are 3 of the 10 horns ever removed. John's ten horned beast always has the full ten horns unlike Daniel's ten horned beast which has 3 of the horns removed.

Well Daniel 7:19ff is also described/reported in the Book of Revelation in Chapters 13 and 17.

Your understanding of what the ten horns on the fourth beast of Daniel 7:1-12 and the beast represent is suspect. The hills mentioned in Rev 17 are the remaining seven horns of the Beast and they represent the various religions that are and will flourish on the earth during the little while period of the seventh age.

Oh well, you can believe what you want, but i for one will not follow you perceived understanding as it is not from a reliable source.

Lets go over what Revelation 16 shows us..

Revelation 16:12-21

This is pretty much how I understand things. The 7th plague is the last plague as told in Rev 15:1. I would like to emphasize the gathering of the nations in verse 16 above, the voices thunders and lightnings with an earthquake in verse 18, the hail in verse 21, and the fact that these things are specifically the wrath of God; as these things/this last plague is repeated 6 times in chapters 6-19 of the Revelation.

1) Rev 6:14b-17
14...every mountain and island were moved out of their places. (Earthquake)
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; (Gathering)
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? (Wrath)

2) Rev 8:5 "And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake." (voices, thunderings, lightnings, earthquake)

3) Rev 11:18-19
18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. (Wrath, Gathering)
19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (lightnings, voices, thunderings, earthquake, hail)

4) Rev 14:19-20
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. (Wrath)
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. (Gathering)

5) These are the Rev 16 verses above

6) Rev 19:15-19
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (Wrath)
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. (Gathering)

I assume the falling mountains and the hail are the winepress used on the gathering.

The hills mentioned in Rev 17 are the remaining seven horns of the Beast

Wrong. There are 7 mountains/hills of the beast. They are represented as heads not horns. There are also ten horns the entire time, not at any point are there only 7.

Your understanding of what the ten horns on the fourth beast of Daniel 7:1-12 and the beast represent is suspect.

No, it isn't. Yours is. You confuse hills and horns in the above quote which is the most simplistic error possible.

Revelation chapter 20 and psalm chapter 37 to document, the wicked follow satan into lake of fire at end of millennium.

Revelation chapter 16 . Armageddon happens at the end of the 6th trump. Jesus returns 7th trump.

Corinthians chapter 15 document, all flesh will be changed to spirtual body's in twinkle of a eye. At the 7th trump. This begins the millennium.

Revelation chapter 13 . Were in 5th trump right now. Satan as antichrist appears at the 6th trump, in Jerusalem. This is one world religious system.

Ephesians chapter 6 . Knowing and wisdom of God's word is the gospel armour.

Sadly, many churches are stripping off the armory on Christian people by teaching traditions of men and false doctrine.

Antichrist will have no problem deceiving majority near future.
