@Pearl Thanks for the 'like'; evidently, like a lot of young men and women, it was the way your son as a new adult chose to express himself.
Yes farouk, I can't remember how old he was when he had his first inking but it was as statement to those he felt were judging him unfairly. He was very small as a child and bullied at school and his first inking says, 'Only God can judge me'. About the same time he also took up body building which was also part of him trying to improve his self esteem. He is now 42.

Till now....there's no other explanation for it...

Back To Topic!
I just finished watching the video and, I am yet again changing my views on the shroud. I really found that book of the Acts of Thomas interesting. What else could it have possibly meant/?? Good share, thanks! ♥

:) i admire what they got.
Some parents react with anxiety, and see it as a no-no. As if they are reluctant to "let go" of the young adult emerging.

Others do "let go" and admire the young person's preparedness to take the plunge for the ink. (Seems like you are in this category, more probably?)

A little as I know the cost and they struggle with finances.

The one I shared with you on the back of a Christian Fijian rugby league player took the tatooist 40 hours to complete.
The fact that a lot of young men and women do it - even when they are short of disposable cash - maybe shows just how they prioritize it, don't you think?

(Like, it must mean a lot to them.)

For this Fijian rugby league player, Kevin Naigama, he uses it as a witness to his mates,

See his back tatoo HERE.

On his chest John 3:16 is tatooed:

Thanks for those photos!

For him it must have been truly a labour of love, worth the discomfort of getting them.

My wife and I talked to a young lady with the whole of John 3.16 in a tasteful script on her wrist area; it was her favorite Bible verse, and mine also; and I'm sure other conversations have arisen also as a result of her willingness to endure the inking machine.

For Kevin Naigama, maybe the chest did seem the best placement. I can understand a Christian young woman thinking that, unless it's going to be done with a bikini in mind, an arm / wrist area would be best for John 3.16 in full. (If this makes sense?)

Thanks again for the photos!

I think they are too busy to consider it right now. And although they are exposed to them, they still prefer the temporary transfers. Lol
Do they ever wonder how you plucked up the courage to do it? and are you a bit surprised they themselves - assuming they're old enough - never did it yet?
